Internships

The AIC accepts several interns each year.  These interns are from throughout the United States.  Although they are often from the Iranian-American community, there are many who are simply interested in working within one of the five major AIC Programs.  If you are interested in one of our internships, please contact the AIC several months in advance.  We are interested in a variety of skills, especially good English and Farsi language skills (both are not necessary), computer skills, outreach and fundraising skills, etc.  One of our staff will closely work with you.  We will match your interests with our organization as closely as possible so that your experience with us will be both mutually rewarding and focused upon your interests.  If you would like to speak with any of our past interns, let us know and we will provide you with a list of individuals who will be able to give you a first hand account of their experience.

We know that you'll have an immensely rewarding experience and we look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for your interest in the AIC.

Princeton, New Jersey

Our interns work in the Borough of Princeton, New Jersey. Princeton is known for many things, including: Princeton University, the Princeton Battlefield, the Albert Einstein house, the John Updike farmstead, and the headquarters of Educational Testing Services (ETS). The environment is highly conducive to study, relaxation and, of course, hard work. Numerous coffee shops, restaurants, museums and points of historic interest exist within a short walk from AIC headquarters.

Small Bridge in Princeton

It is possible to rent canoes and other boats near here. In addition to the lake and rivers, there are many trails to hike.

Einstein's House

Albert Einstein lived in this house until his death in 1955. This house is still very much in the same conditon as it was then. Although it is a private residence, its preservation is mandated by a city council that is not known for being weak (e.g., don't park without paying the meter!).

John Updike's Farmstead

In 2004, the Historical Society of Princeton acquired the historic Updike Farmstead in Princeton Township. The farmstead now consists of six acres of land, a farmhouse, barns, chicken coops, other outbuildings and a windmill. The property lies in a State and National Historic District and Princeton Township's Battlefield Preservation District. The farm is along the route followed by Continental troops on their way to engage British soldiers at the neighboring Thomas Clarke farm at Princeton Battlefield.
